Open Graph (OG) tags control how your content appears when shared on social media. Getting them right increases click-through rates by up to 2-3x compared to pages with missing or poorly configured OG tags.

Essential OG Tags

• og:title: The title shown in the social share card (different from your page title)
• og:description: A brief summary (200 chars max for most platforms)
• og:image: Preview image — 1200×630px is the universal recommended size
• og:url: The canonical URL of the content

What image size should I use?

1200×630 pixels works across all platforms. Facebook requires at least 600×315. Twitter accepts 2:1 or 1:1. LinkedIn needs at least 1200×627. The 1200×630 size is the sweet spot.
